Why this matters

Water shapes what a rural property is worth, and what you can do with it. Whether you are buying, selling, or planning to develop, the answers should be in your hands before you make a decision.

From a free Snapshot to the full picture.

1

Start with the free Snapshot

Mark your property on the map. We'll review and email your Snapshot within 24 hours.

2

See what's on the record

Everything on file: licences, dams, bores, plus aquifer, rainfall, and your Water Management Plan. Enough to decide whether to go further.

3

Order the Assessment

The base Water Resource Assessment covers most properties — water rights, groundwater, surface water, options and risks. Two optional add-ons go deeper on watershed hydrology and underground geology if you need them.

What you get in the Assessment

Confidence

What comes with the property

Every entitlement, dam, bore and obligation, decoded into plain English.

  • Water rights and licences. Every entitlement attached to the property, decoded.
  • Groundwater. Aquifer condition, existing bores, yields, and water quality.
  • Surface water. Allocations, reliability, dam records and approvals.
  • Risks and obligations. Restrictions, reporting requirements, and what to negotiate.

Possibility

What's possible from here

Where extra water could come from, and what it would take to develop it.

  • Untapped groundwater. Where, how deep, how much, and what's involved in pulling it up.
  • Additional surface water. Catchment, harvesting potential, and where new dams could go.
  • Recommendations. A short, ranked list of what is worth doing, and in what order.

What it costs

One base report plus two optional add-ons. Buy what you need now — add the rest later and we re-render the report.

Our guarantee. Every Water Resource Assessment is reviewed and signed by a senior hydrogeologist. If the report doesn't include the analysis listed above (water rights, groundwater, surface water, options and risks), we'll refund you in full within 14 days.

Add-on

Comprehensive Surface Water

Adds a hydrological watershed analysis showing dam-by-dam catchment runoff, irrigable-area estimates, and seasonal reliability indicators.

  • Catchment delineation for each on-property dam
  • Runoff modelling and irrigable-area estimates
  • Seasonal reliability indicators across wet / median / dry years

Add-on

Comprehensive Groundwater

Adds an Underground Geology Profile (stratigraphic cross-section) interpreting the local aquifer geometry along an A–A′ alignment, derived from nearby bore lithology records.

  • Stratigraphic cross-section drawn through your property
  • Aquifer geometry and depth interpretation
  • Drill-target context for proposed bore locations
+ $600inc. GST

Both add-ons can be purchased now or bolted onto an existing report later. We re-render the PDF — the original sections stay exactly as delivered.

Common questions

What is the free Water Snapshot?
A one-page summary of the water on your property: licences, dams, bores, the water management plan covering your area, and your rainfall zone. We'll review and email it within 24 hours. It's free because we want you to see what we know before deciding whether to go further.
What's the difference between the Snapshot and the Water Resource Assessment?
The Snapshot shows what's already on the record. It's a data summary. The Water Resource Assessment is an expert investigation: it analyses seasonal reliability, estimates how much runoff you could capture, assesses groundwater potential, and recommends a strategy for water security. Think of the Snapshot as the question. The Assessment is the answer.
What are the optional add-ons and do I need them?
Most properties only need the base Water Resource Assessment. The two add-ons go deeper on specific questions: the Comprehensive Surface Water add-on adds watershed-by-dam runoff modelling and seasonal reliability indicators — pick it if dam siting or capture volume matters. The Comprehensive Groundwater add-on adds an Underground Geology Profile (a stratigraphic cross-section drawn through your property) — pick it if you're planning to drill. Add-ons can be purchased at order time or bolted onto an existing report later; we re-render the PDF and the original sections stay exactly as delivered.
Is the Snapshot really free? What's the catch?
Yes, genuinely free. We'll email you the Snapshot as a PDF and give you a link to view it online. We'll follow up once to ask if you'd like the full Assessment. No obligation, no hard sell.
What area do you cover?
Tasmania first. Other states are next on the roadmap. If your property is outside Tasmania, drop us a note via the Contact page and we'll let you know as soon as your area is live.
How long does the Assessment take?
Most assessments are completed within 10 business days from order confirmation. Complex properties with multiple water sources or unusual licensing conditions may take slightly longer, and we will let you know upfront.
Do you visit the property?
No site visits. Every Assessment is built from authoritative public records and spatial data, which is what makes it fast and affordable. If your property needs eyes-on work, like a bore inspection or contamination test, we can point you to the right local specialist.
What if the property has no registered bores?
That's still valuable information. We analyse groundwater potential based on aquifer mapping, nearby bore data, and geological conditions. Many properties have untapped groundwater resources that haven't been explored.
Can I use the report for a bank valuation or legal dispute?
Our reports are independent and evidence-based, which makes them useful for due diligence and supporting valuations. We don't provide formal legal opinions, but our findings come from official records and are formatted for professional use.
What's your refund policy?
Our guarantee is on the deliverable. If the Assessment does not include the analysis we promise (water rights, groundwater, surface water, options and risks), you get a full refund within 14 days. See the full terms next to the price.
