Terms of Service
Effective 3 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the Hydro Intelligence website (hydrointelligence.com.au) and the two services we deliver: the free Water Snapshot and the paid Water Resource Assessment. By placing an order or using the site you agree to these terms. Hydro Intelligence is a trading name of FrontFoot Group Pty Ltd, registered in Australia.
1. The services
- Water Snapshot — a free property summary built from publicly available government datasets (water licences, dam permits, bore registry, rainfall, water management plan zones). Delivered as a web page and PDF, typically within 24 hours after manual review.
- Water Resource Assessment — a paid report ($1,450 + GST per property) covering groundwater, surface water, licence analysis, and risk assessment. Delivered as a PDF within 10 business days of payment.
2. Eligibility and accuracy of inputs
You must be the owner of the property, an authorised agent (e.g. a buyer's solicitor or buyer's agent), or a prospective purchaser conducting due diligence. You are responsible for selecting the correct property boundary and providing accurate contact details. If the boundary or address is wrong, the report will be wrong — re-runs on a corrected boundary count as a new order.
3. Payment
Payment for the Water Resource Assessment is taken at order time via Stripe. Prices are in Australian Dollars and exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. A tax invoice is emailed on completion of payment.
4. Delivery
The Water Snapshot is normally delivered within 24 hours after manual quality review. The Water Resource Assessment is delivered within 10 business days. We'll let you know if a particular property requires additional research that pushes us beyond that window. Delivery is by email to the address you provided at order time.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: a full refund is issued if our pipeline cannot generate the report; once a report has been delivered no refund is available.
6. Intellectual property
Hydro Intelligence retains copyright in the report templates, methodology, and the compiled report. On payment, you (the purchaser) receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the report for your own due-diligence, planning, and professional-advice purposes — including sharing it with your solicitor, agent, lender, or family members.
The licence does not permit re-sale, white-labelling, syndication, or publication of the report (in whole or in extracts) without our written permission. Underlying public datasets remain the property of their respective custodians (the Tasmanian Government, the Bureau of Meteorology, etc.) and are reproduced under their published licensing terms.
7. Nature of the report — not engineering or legal advice
Hydro Intelligence reports are an independent desktop assessment based on publicly available spatial data, government registers, satellite imagery, and regional climate records at the date the report is generated. The report is intended to support due diligence and inform commercial decisions. It is not:
- A geotechnical or hydrogeological investigation requiring on-site drilling or pump-testing.
- Engineering advice on dam construction, irrigation system design, or pump selection.
- Legal advice on water licences, planning approvals, or property law.
- A guarantee of water availability, yield, or future regulatory conditions.
Where the report identifies risks or constraints that warrant further investigation, we'll say so. Decisions that depend on certified yields, regulatory approvals, or construction works should always be reviewed with an appropriately qualified professional (e.g. a registered hydrogeologist, civil engineer, or solicitor).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Hydro Intelligence's total liability for any claim arising out of a report is limited to a refund of the fee paid for that report. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss — including lost opportunity, reduced sale price, or business interruption — arising from reliance on a report.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other right that cannot be excluded by contract.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to: scrape data, attempt to circumvent rate limits or reCAPTCHA, place orders for properties you have no legitimate interest in, submit fraudulent payment details, or interfere with the operation of the service. We reserve the right to refuse or refund orders that breach this clause.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers where reasonably practicable.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Tasmania.
